Yes,

That is true, depending on station setup.  Some of the
setups you mentioned will share RF as well as DC.  Not
good.  Better to use seperate dual wire runs and eliminate
possible ground loops.

In either case, there will always be some sort of return
which will contribute to the IR drop.
