[Elecraft] SSB initial audio

Good morning all - hope this reaches the reflector - seem to having some
problem here.

I just installed the SSB board up to the point on page 16 where you
finish the BFO setup for LSB/USB. When I listen on 40 and 20, the audio
quality is fine but the signal is very feint - infact you have to keep
the pre-amp on from the earlier step to hear it. The same stations come
in with good volume on my OMNI V which I am using for baseline
comparision.
CW audio is still working perfectly well - just as it did before the SSB
board was put on.

Is this condition to be expected at this stage - and will improve - or
is it an indication of a problem. All other initial tests are just fine. 

PS Am cc this to Tom Hammond - as so far this morning it appears
messages are not being picked up by the reflector.
