G'day fellow EIDXA members,


Elections for club officers at our October meeting is quickly approaching.


Jerry - WW0E has indicated that he needs to step down as Vice President & Newsletter Editor at the end of this year after serving many years in this capacity. We all owe Jerry a tremendous round of applause for the excellent work he has done as VP, news letter editor and his ability to scrounge door prizes for our club meetings and picnic. If you would like to be VP and / or News Letter Editor please let me know and I'll get you on the ballet. Remember, Jerry is just an email or phone call away to provide all of the support the new VP / editor will need.


Rich - W3ACO has also been serving as Secretary / Treasurer for 8 years and desires to relinquish the reins to the checkbook to someone else. Likewise, we owe Rich a big round of applause for his many years of outstanding service in this vitally important position. If you would like to serve as Secretary / Treasurer please let me know. Rich is also just an email and phone call away and I'm sure will help in the transition as much as possible.


I've agreed to serve as club President for a second year; however, if anyone else would like to try their hand at this position please let me know. It certainly won't hurt my feelings!!


So, please let me know as soon as possible if you are interested in helping our club continue to move forward by serving in either of these positions. They really don't require an inordinate amount of time and are actually a lot of fun. As I quickly learned when taking over the President position, no one is going to bite your head off and there are a lot of people willing to help in any way they can. This is a very good group of hams!
