My goal was to work VK9WA on 12 and 30 meters. I had no hope for 80 or 160
where I also needed them. No luck on 30 although I spent over two hours
calling them on three different mornings. Congratulations to anyone that
worked him there. I did work them on 12 so I got 50%.

I hope everyone that needed Willis Island for an ATNO or band slot has been
successful! I’ve heard a few EIDXA members in the pileups and looking at the
VK9WA logs at Clublog it looks like there are quite a few happy campers
around here. I know I sure am...... #331 for me.
If you haven’t worked them yet your time is running out fast. In case you
haven’t seen the latest news update from the VK9WA team, here it is:
November 23 0015 - Rough seas and expected to get worse, so we're
expediting our station break down. 2 stations going off the air within an
hour. We'll reevaluate in a few hours, but current plans are to keep two
stations on the air through the night with QRT at first light tomorrow -
around 2200UTC.
