I use coat hangers cut into 8 inch lengths and then folded in half to form a
ground staple. At the ends I just tie a knot in the wire and put one end of
the staple through that knot and put into the ground. I also place the coat
hanger staples every 5 or t feet along the radial The coat hanger wire is
tough enough that if the ground is hard it has no problem going in. NEVER
hit a radial with a mower either and have been doing this for years and
years. Sure beats bending over with a spade or a chain saw...
