Hey Gary,
I use the N1MM Plus with MTTY it's the newest out on the market. (I had
one of the beta testers in my back pocket.) You might want to upgrade to
Plus. Make sure and keep it updated. I also run my rig on 250 Hz filter for
the RTTY contests better copy and twice as many contacts and better data
quality. 500 Hz toooo wide during contests OK for everyday use. I had to ask
for numbers and calls a lot of times. Don't be to fast to click on the
reports sometimes that causes issues and slows you down.
macros are great for contesting. Don't be afraid to ask for their call
again. That's why I like sending calls several times. It gives you more
time to make sure you have good data. It seems like their was a lot of
rammy operators in the contest. Maybe SO2R operations???
I would be glad to share my macros with you.
I like RTTY contesting. You can eat, drink, talk and still contest.
I just had 2 that were bad in the CQ WPX. I had 5 in the BARTSG last month.
GUD LUCK Let me know I can share what I know and my macros Plus I have a
great beta tester for N1MM at a touch of the phone in Alabama.
I hope this answered your question.
