They have been mostly easy to work if you wait for the optimum times on each
band. I avoid calling when they're hearing EU, since they're between the EU
wall and NA wall. I can only imagine what they're hearing when the band is
open to both. I've worked several band/modes with only a few calls with
them almost begging for Qs, and none of my high band Qs took long, mostly
under 20 min. Other band/modes have been more challenging e.g. 30 meter RTTY
which took me 3 hrs. and I tried twice for about an hour each time and still
don't have a 40 meter CW Q. I'm not insane enough to chase them on 40 meter
phone. Surprisingly, 80 and 160 were easy. They were so loud on 160 that I
could receive them on the inverted L well above the noise. It really helps
to have dual receive capability, especially for the big splits. I took the
weekend off in honor of all the weekend warriors. I sympathize with them
because I used to be one of them. Overall, they are indeed one of best group
of operators in a while.

I agree it's one of the best handled DXpeditions I've ever seen. I had to
leave last Thursday and was afraid I'd miss them before I could get back
home this weekend, but I managed to snag 5 band slots and all 3 modes
running the Flex barefoot, and nothing but the Butternut vertical for 30 &
40. If I get home in time on Saturday I may try for one or two last
contacts on 10, 12, or 80.
