Just a reminder:
The next meeting of the Eastern Iowa DX Association will
be tomorrow, Friday October 17th at 7:30 PM, in Meeting
Rooms C-D in Iowa Hall on the Kirkwood Community College
campus. (This room is just down the hall from the Amana
Room which we have used for our last few meetings. When
coming into the main corridor, turn right, away from the
Amana Room, to find rooms C-D.) The program will be the
story of the FT5ZM Amsterdam Island DXpedition from
earlier this year, presented by the team leader, Ralph
Fedor, KØIR. Ralph has done this presentation at Dayton,
Friedrichshafen and W9DXCC. We are honored to welcome
him to our club!

A very nice, very professionally done video indeed! It is
well worth watching, even if you are an experienced DXer.
How to get to IOWA HALL: It is best to take the South
Entrance road to the campus, off of Kirkwood Blvd. Go
past the radio towers, then turn left into the parking
lots near the Mansfield Center, #20 on this map:

An aerial view courtesy of Bing Maps is here:

(Mansfield is at the precise center of this view.)
Enter through the Mansfield Center door, which puts you
on the 2nd floor of Iowa Hall. Go up the stairs to the
3rd floor and take a right. When you come out into the
main corridor, take a right to Rooms C-D. (Note that if
you prefer, there is an elevator off to the right as you
come in the Mansfield Center door.)
I hope to see you all tomorrow night!

Craig, KØCF
