[EIDXA] Repairing a Kenwood TS-940SAT

I have a Kenwood TS-940SAT that has been sitting on the shelf for 10+
years.  Would like to give it to my father in-law.  Still powers up, but
the same problem exists.  It has an intermittent transmit problem.
Randomly the transmit power drops to zero on all bands.  The output power
will come back, after it sits unpowered for a few hours.

Miles at AES, Milwaukee has retired and they no longer have a service
technician.

Looking for alternatives, preferably within driving distance of the Quad
Cities.  Or a name, that is highly recommended.
