[EIDXA] Spare mast anyone?

At the risk of stating the obvious - water pipe is NOT mast material.
Yeah, yeah, I know all the arguments - but it is soft and bends easily.
Schedule 80 is available and stronger - but is still NOT mast material -
but it is 2.00 inch OD.
Do you really want to fight when it bends? We all have heard of horror
stories of bent masts from ice loading - as opposed to wind. And again, I
realize that the HexBean would like come down first - but...
Just my $0.02...
