I agree with Dave, a move to either might come at a high price. Myself, I
don't use either due to security concerns. I'm not sure the reflector does
or doesn't have some risks as well but I doubt if there are many hackers out
there looking to bust into our discussions.

As it stands everyone gets the information that goes out on the list. If
you add Twitter and Facebook then different people will see different things
and not all have the same information. There are people that have no
interest in being on Twitter or Facebook.
The decision on whether to move in this direction should be based on careful
consideration of what would be gained and what would be lost. Is this a
solution looking for a problem or is it filling a serious need?
