Glenn,
Great job in CQWWCW and you did super in the Phone one also.
Congratulations.
Can you yet tell how this station compares with the one in MN? Does moving
that far south help?

I ground EVERYTHING to a common ground so there are no floating potentials
around. The negative lead from power supplies are connected directly to
the station ground bus. Every piece of equipment that can be grounded is
connected to the bus.
The only problem I have is some RF in the headphones on 20 CW on the ICOM
7800, which is a known bug on the 7800 itself.
We surpassed (we = N0KK) the W0 single op record in CQWW CW this past
weekend, with lots of RF. One of the two radios was transmitting constantly
with 1500 watts and the only "RF" was the minor bug on the 7800.....and that
is just noticeable on 20M only.
I didn't operate as I was expecting to take off for a new grandchild. The
little bugger must be in QRP mode as he hasn't shown up yet.
I'm sure mileage will vary on this as not all grounds are equal or not the
best grounds.
73 & Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!!
