I would suggest a Larson whip for their 5/8 wave 2M antenna.  Replacement whips are about $20.

Looking to replace the whip on the top of my mobile Little Tarheel II
screwdriver antenna.  The one supplied is quite stout and has to be removed
each time I pull into the garage.

Looking for a "thin", more flexible whip approximately 32" long.  I can
re-use the existing 3/8 x 24 TPI bushing.

Any ideas?
