Warrensburg Hamfest 2013
Now that Field Day is over its time to relax and join the Warrensburg Area Amateur Radio Club, Inc. for its annual Hamfest.
The Warrensburg Hamfest is held in Warrensburg, MO July 20 th at the YES Building located at 130 SW 13 Hwy. It is a large facility with room to grow. The doors open at 8 a.m. for the public and the Grand Prize Drawing will be at 12 noon sharp!
Breakfast, with eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, will be served at 7 a.m.
Our Hamfest flyer is attached in black/white for printing and color for e-mailing. Please mention the Warrensburg Hamfest on your nets and share the flyer with as many of your fellow hams as you can.
The Warrensburg Club is known for its hospitality and we invite you and your family to come to Warrensburg and the Warrensburg Hamfest to join us for the day and weekend .
If you’re staying overnight in Warrensburg there will be a gathering/dinner Saturday evening at Heroes Restaurant http://heroeswarrensburg.com/ starting at 6 p.m.
If you’re a military retiree a visit to Whiteman Air Force Base, Home of the B-2 Bomber, http://www.whiteman.af.mil/index.asp could be on your afternoon agenda. There’s also the Warrensburg Community Center with its indoor and outdoor pools, workout center, basketball courts and more for the active family.
Feel free to browse the following links and think about spending a two-day stay with us over the Warrensburg Hamfest Weekend.
http://www.visitwarrensburg.org/ - you’ll want to download the Warrensburg Visitor’s Guide (second item down on the left hand side) – it has tons of information about the area and local attractions.

Also, for those of you who might be headed back through Kansas City Saturday afternoon, there are numerous attractions including baseball, jazz and art (and many other) museums along with the Steamboat Arabia Museum - it is family owned and operated, exceptional in its history and one of my personal favorites. http://1856.com/
