[EIDXA] ARRL Plaques--Caution

For a number of years the ARRL offered a number of award plaques that consisted of a painted tile mounted in a wood or plastic frame.  I have several of them and I’m sure many of you do also.

My ARRL 50 Year plaque has been hanging on my shack wall for nine years.  Two weeks ago I found the tile on the floor broken into six pieces!  I double sided tape must have deteriorated and let loose.  I suggest that you check all of your award plaques and put pressure on the tile and you might avoid what happened to me.

A motivation to check might be cost.  When I called ARRL Hq. I found that a replacement plaque is $52.00 plus shipping!
