Rich,
Good thought. For those wanting something stronger that does not stretch,
try Radio Works - they have 3/32" Kevlar with a 500 pound load strength.
It is perfect for those 43 foot verticals that need one tier of guying for
wind survivability to 90 MPH. It's black. I use it for inverted vee and
dipole end line - it is small, low wind load and is tough. I've had it up
for 10 years with no UV impact. (200 feet for $25.)
Just another source/thought.

[EIDXA] antenna support line
Kite builder is now back on the web. They have "kite line" in different
strengths to hang wire antennas. This stuff is braided Dacron, mildew
proof. Line breaking strength to 200 lbs and higher. Different colors if
you like. I suggest picking light colors, the dark colors tend to fade
and
the color comes off on your hands. They also have heavy duty polyester
line suitable for guy wires.
