[EIDXA] SuperCheap SDR

Ok. I've been playing with this thing for a bit now, and I have to admit
that it's pretty cool. It gives you about a 2 Mhz. bandspread waterfall.
Yes it does CW, and the bandpass filter looks to go down to 100hz. You
click, it goes there. The verdict is that it's a $20 SDR. It is NOT a
stellar device, and it wont compete with the receiver on your FT-2000, but
it is still VERY cool, and a very useful tool to have in your arsenal. It
definitely needs a better antenna than the little stinger that comes with
it. Once I get it on HF, I will switch it in and out of the usual antennas.
For now, it's a little UHF mag mount sitting on top of the amp. The antenna
jack is the euro PAL type, and you can find little adapters on ebay for a
couple dollars with free shipping.

I'm looking forward to finishing the upconverter design so I can make boards
for it and get this thing on HF. Then it's gonna be FUN!

My little USB stick showed up today. I will let you all know how it works.
I don't have the upconverted built, so I will be limited to VHF and up for
now, but it should still be fun.
