Minutes of the EIDXA for August 3, 2012



  1.. Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by our president Rick, N0YY
  2.. 28 Hams answered the CQ call.
  3.. Introductions were made all around.
  4.. W3ACO reported a checking account balance of $869.79
  5.. Jason, KD0MND, our webmaster, asked for input from members, photos of 
antennas, QSL cards etc.  Send material to KD0MND at arrl.net
  6.. Repeater committee, no report
  7.. N0YY solicited volunteers for club officers, elections will be held at 
the next meeting in October.
  8.. There was a discussion of support for upcoming DXpeditions.  The vote 
indicated that the club should donate $200.00 each to three DXpeditions, 1. 
Auckland and Campbell Islands, ZL9HR;   2. Swains Island, NH8S; and 3. St 
Peter and Paul Rocks, PT0S.  W3ACO will transfer funds from EIDXA to these 
DXpeditions via his Paypal account.
  9.. There was a discussion of including a buy/sell trade page on our 
website. Jason said he will add this.
  10.. Summer picnic.   After some discussion, it was decided that the 
picnic will be held Sept 15 at NR0X QTH with a rain date of Sept 29.  Picnic 
starts at 3PM, brats will be available by 5:30 PM.
  11.. Meeting adjourned at 8:15 PM.
  12.. There was an excellent video about the T32C DXpedition put on by the 
5 star DXpedition team from England.
