EIDXA Meeting minutes April 13, 2012



1.  The meeting was called to order by Rick N0YY  at 7:30 PM.



2.  47 Members answered the CQ call.



3.  The website membership list will be updated by Jason KD0MND, our new 
webmaster.



4.  K0VM reports that the repeater is working OK.  There may be future 
interference issues as some                 other local repeaters are being 
relocated.



5.  The club inducted five new members. They are:



Marty Santic, K9EAA, Davenport

Jim Meade, NO0B, Tiffin

Ron Meyer, N0SL, Cedar Rapids

John Andrews AC0XY, Iowa City and

Bob Schafer, KA4PKB, formally of Alabama who has moved to our area.



Congratulations to our new members



  6..  There was a discussion about the "summer picnic" It was decided to 
hold it as a social event, not a formal club meeting. Karin Blankehagen 
offered her QTH.  Date to be decided. W0AWL will follow up.


  7.. The club voted to increase its dues to $20.00 per year beginning 
October, 2012 which is the beginning of our fiscal 2013 year.


  8.. N0YY showed the walnut engraved plaque to be presented to Brad K4RT. 
Rick will carry the plaque to Washington DC and make the presentation. Image 
is available in the April Newsletter.


         Meeting was adjourned at 8:05 PM



        An excellent and fascinating presentation of the HK0NA DXpedition 
was provided by Glenn, W0GJ.                  Thank you Glenn !!
