Steve,
I highly recommend DavisRF for coax.
I purchased RG213 and it is very good stuff.

I do not recommend the LMR400 Chineese stuff from ebay
I prefer that my center conductors are 100% copper.
Not that the RF will know the difference.

Subject: [EIDXA] Coax cable question
Hi all,
We moved from Cedar Falls to the Cedar Rapids area this summer (rural
Hiawatha area). We're still getting settled in, but I want to get something
up for an antenna to get through the winter, probably just my venerable HF6V
vertical. It will be about a 200ft run to the clearing where it would be
installed. This is a temporary installation, so I want to keep it simple.
If I just lay the coax on the ground for the winter, should I expect damage
from rodents, deer, etc.? Any other concerns I should have? In the past I
have buried my coax but don't want to expend the effort for that until I
know what the long term solution will be.
I'll be buying new coax for this. I presume RG-213 type or similar. The
Wireman as good a source as any?
73,
Steve AK0M
