ARRL DX TEST - CW
I had a good time operating the contest even though I couldn't spend all
weekend on it.
While jumping in and out of the contest and learning my new LOGic8 software,
I casually operated Friday night for a few hours, late Saturday morning till
about 4pm,
breaking to attend dinner out with XYL, then Sunday 1pm till close. 10/15
mtrs were fun! 
My Gap vertical did pretty well, but Sunday afternoon I found the OCF 5 band

Windom dipole (30') was favored to South/Central America. Interestingly
could not hear JA's on the
vertical around 5pm on 20m Sunday, but heard and worked one with the 80m
Windom. 
That also was the case working the Alaskan stations at that time. 
(Vertical doesn't have a good shot of the horizon, being in a low spot and
surrounded
by 40 foot pines and aluminum siding). I'm working towards a tower! :-)
