Their requirements aren't much different from our own, the way they are written:
--------------
1. Be a member of the ARRL in good standing.
2. Have been granted a DX Century Club Award by the ARRL .
3. Be licensed by the FCC as an amateur radio operator.
4. Maintain an amateur radio station on any or all of the amateur bands within the 160 to 10 meter FCC allocations.
5. Have two meter FM capability for the NIDXA net and DX call ins.
6. Reside within the State of Illinois, within a 50 mile radius of the junction of I-290 and I-294. Meetings must be hosted within a 30 mile radius of the I-290/I-294 junction.
7. Attend a minimum of three (3) NIDXA meetings or social events in a consecutive twelve month period and make a genuine effort to meet all of the current NIDXA members.
8. Show and/or demonstrate continuing interest and/or participation in DXing, contests, club activities, net check ins and the objectives of the NIDXA, including volunteering to assist the manager of the W9 QSL bureau, or other club activities.
9. Any of the membership requirements may be waived for an individual applicant upon the affirmative vote of seventy five (75) percent of the members of the NIDXA voting in person, by proxy, or by absentee ballot. If the 50 mile residence requirement is waived, the member must host his meetings within the thirty mile radius.
--------------
The ones I see that are significant and different are: 7, 2 (they have no associate), 8; however, 9 negates all of them with a vote, and, as with all clubs, how much actual enforcement actually goes on?
