Joe,

Some of us have been talking about this opportunity. At the risk of
sounding like a volunteer (I feel like I may have already been "drafted")
I would be willing to be one of the presenters. It could be on any number
of topics. Contesting, DXing, Station Design, operating tools, etc. But
I also believe this should be an EIDXA project.

What message do we as a club want to put forward? Is there a topic that
lights everyone's interest?

I am willing to help/lead/or do something for our club as a showcase. You
have seen my presentations in the past so I think I can handle it. I
might suggest that this is a key subject for the next meeting. But I
would also suggest that we have some suggestions. Clean sheets are hard
to discuss.

So let's open the flood gates and see what kind of ideas we want to bring
forward as a club. Maybe if we have a couple of great ideas, we can offer
two slots!

Just thinking...

Hello ARRL Midwest Clubs!

Cedar Rapids, Iowa will be hosting the the Midwest ARRL convention the
weekend of August 5th and 6th. My name is Gregg Lind and I am the
program director for the event. I am looking for speakers from the
Midwest clubs. This is a great opportunity to provide presentations at
either of our technical and operating forums. We currently have
needs for 10 presentations about 45 minute to1 hour time slots that we
are looking to fill. Please consider this opportunity, please pass on
to your club members and also post in your newsletters and discuss
this at your next club meeting.

Over the past year you may had a presentation at your club that you
feel would also benefit a larger group please forward this email to
others that would consider speaking at Midwest ARRL convention. I
would like to see the slides, or a brief discussion of the topic.

I will respond when I have review the topic and make sure we do not
have duplicate or similar presentation. Please contact me as soon as
possible as I would like to have all the presentation filled by May
20th. Even if you cannot 100% commit at this time please drop me a
email. I will also notify you of interest and further discuss your
availability.
