PJ7, SINT MAARTEN (Update). Joe/W8GEX and Craig/K9CT, former EIDXA guest
speaker, report, "Planning is well underway." Co-leaders Joe/W8GEX and Craig/K9CT were on the island this past week and have secured property for the CW and SSB stations to
be located on the east and west sides of the island. These locations have
clear shots to EU and NA. ICOM is providing IC7600s, and Alpha will be
providing their amplifiers for this DXpedition. Four stations will be on
continuously and manned by a 12 person team of experienced international
operators. Logistical planning was completed for all of the equipment.
Their plan is to provide a loud signal for everyone to get a new DXCC
entity on 10/10/10 for 10 days. Local government, business and ham
community have provided wonderful cooperation and support for their
