Glen

Glad to learn that you have been treated to a little International
hospitality, and I have found it to be a real treat. They know how to do it
right. It appears that you had a great time and I am glad for you.

Hello EIDXA,

I'm reporting in on our trip to Crete and Greece. Pam and I spent 3 days on
Crete from September 22 to
25th. On the evening of the 25th SV9COL Dimitris picked us up from
returning our rental car and took us
to the port for coffee with 3 others from the club. We then went to the
radio club's building which housed their
station, work bench area and meeting room. We had good ragchew with all and
were treated to pastries and
ouzo. If you're not familiar with ouzo it is a anise liqueur with a
liquorish taste. Quite strong I might add. After
about 4 shots and more talk we showed the DVD. From there is was off to
dinner ... the time was now around 10:30
The Europeans do eat late. After more wine, ouzo and full multi course
dinner we were presented with club T-shirts,
banners, coffee mugs, etc. Only a few that attended were true dxer's but
all were very gracious to have been provided the program.
SV9CVY Mike who probably most of you have worked was unable to get a ride at
the last minute and it was 60 miles for him.
This SV9 club was a great bunch of guys.
