 EIDXA meeting minutes Nov 6, 2009
 Meeting called to order at 7:30 PM CST by Rich Haendel W3ACO

 There were 22 hams in attendance

  1..  July minutes were read and approved. 
  2.. Treasurer's report was provided. Bank balance as of 5 November 2009 was $845.10. 
  3.. Two new hams were voted into membership, Gary Huff, KW0J and Jerry Buchheit, KI0WA.  Congratulations to both. 
  4.. There was a discussion of a donation to the list server which EIDXA has done in the past.  Jim, W0SR will find out about details. 
  5.. Repeater and Packet report: Tom WB8ZRL reports both are working fine.
  6.. The officers, President, Joe KC0VKN: V. Pres, Tom, NY0V and Sec/Treas, Rich W3ACO were reelected without opposition.
  7.. Terry, W0AWL gave a demonstration of new coax prep tools from DX Engineering. 
  8.. Re contributions:
    1.. Discussion of contributions to Vlad,  4K9W . Hat was passed and $68.00 was received.  W3ACO will forward funds via Paypal or other means.
    2.. Discussion of a contribution to K4M. The general opinion was that contributions should be made before a DXpedition takes place, not after.  No one wanted to contribute. 
    3.. Discussion of forthcoming DXpedition to Vietnam, 3W6C. Schedule indicated this will take place in April.  Decision was deferred until the January meeting. 
  9.. Glen, K0JGH provided an excellent video of the K5D expedition to Desecheo Island.  He also showed pictures of his trip to SV9 and visit with the local ham radio club.
