Minutes of the April 10, 2009 EIDXA meeting

 

Meeting called to order at 7:30 PM EDT by Joe, KC0VKN. 

 35 hams answered the CQ call. 

Treasurer's report was accepted, Club balance as of April 6, 2009 was $859.60. 

Tom, WB8ZRL, will be the new DXCC card checker. His documentation has already been sent into the ARRL. 

The club received two new membership applications from Bill N9CDX and Gary KW0J. Dues were accepted. Vote will take place at the next meeting. 

EIDXA members were invited to the Collins Radio Club May 9th at the 35th St. plant.  For more information contact Tom, NY0V. 

Show of hands of who's going to Dayton this year, (many) 

Discussion by Tom, NY0V, asked for participation in contests both here in Iowa (at N0NI's  QTH)  and in Hawaii.  Contact Tom for more details. 

Glen , K0JGH,  gave an excellent presentation of the K5D DXpedition with many pictures and a thorough explanation of the FWS interaction.
