Everyone:
I thought you might find it interesting that I was able to complete 6m
moonbounce QSOs with two stations this past weekend at local moonrise.

The first, ON4GG, uses 4 x 50' boom yagis (the same EME array I formerly
had in Wisconsin) and 600w of Tx power. On moonrise saturday 13 October,
I used my single C3i 51' boom yagi up 90' with a LNA Technologies
preamplifier and 1.3kW of power out. It took about 1 hour to complete the
QSO, but complete it we did despite EME conditions not being that great
(degradation (extra loss due to moon position and dynamics)was over 5dB!).

Then, sunday, G4IGO requested a sked with me so I tried with him (and also
completed!).. Sunday, degradation was 7.1dB! G4IGO uses a pair of
6-element yagis and I don't know his Tx power but if memory serves
correctly, the limit in U.K. is 400w. This QSO also took almost an hour
but it was pretty exciting that we could even exchange calls, reports
"OOO" etc. via the moon.

I worked both of the above to help them. I am still trying to work Guam
(which would be a new country for me) on 6m EME.. Both of us use a single
yagi and 1.3kW... we have tried approx. 8 times so far (no QSO yet)..but I
hope one of these times we can complete.

73 and good DX
