Ouch Ouch Ouch

You really got it, and your just 3/4 mile from me.....Well you wanted a new
40 M beam anyway...didn't you??

Terry got hit pretty hard too but I think you got it worse.

Saturday afternoon was the worst for me.. the beam was bouncing pretty
badly but at least at night I couldn't see it moving around but I know it
was....

Hope this is the end of the icy weather for the year...

Good Luck

I did not fair as well. One end of my 160m and 80m inverted Vs broke
loose and are lodged in trees. One half of one element on the 40m beam
broke off and is sticking out of the garage roof like a spear. It
penetrated about a foot into the garage. The WARC dipole looks ok and
the KT36XA appears ok. We lost power about 5:15pm Sat and got it back
about 9:00pm. My 80m wire ground plane had a tree branch fall onto one
of the radials but did not break it. When I looked at the antennas Sat.
night, the 40m beam was badly sagging and the wind was really making it
dance. I found ice in the yard this afternoon that had fallen from the
40m beam that was 3/4 inch thick. Guess that must be the limit of what
it can take in 40 to 50 mile an hour winds.
