[EIDXA] Motion to support BS7 Operation

Hello all,

>From an email discussion today on the upcoming BS7 operation, Gary K0GT has the following motion:

Hi Glen,

I would make a motion that the EIDXA provide financial support for the BS7 dxpedition planned for April 2007 not to exceed $200.00 from the club treasury. I would accept an amendment to lower the amount. The rational for providing a higher level of support than any previous expedition would be the number of members that need this one for an all time new one and in a large number of cases the last one to have them all. The credibility of the people planning this operation definitely deserves our support.

We are moving this up to a vote on-line since we won't have a meeting until after the operation begins.  I don't know if this has been done before and I am not aware of anything in the by-laws that addresses a procedure.  The by-laws indicate that an email vote can be done, however.  We have approximately 60 members.  Under a regular meeting rules if a motion is made and second with opportunity for discussion, a question is called for and a vote is taken.  The email votes cast show pass or fail and it is done.  Would this seem correct?

If so,  DO WE HAVE A SECOND TO GARY'S MOTION?
