I turned the radio on at 1430 UTC this morning and copied BS7H working JAs.
He was weak but clear copy with little noise. By the time he got to EU, I
had lost copy (about 1530 UTC). That's earlier copy than my prop forecast
predicts, and the predicted opening between 1630-1700 UTC didn't happen. I
worked BX5AA on RTTY at 1331 UTC last Tuesday, so maybe the openings are
coming earlier than predicted. After reading the last press release, I
suspect they ran out of gas and went to battery power and 100 watts about
the time they switched to phone. Hopefully by tomorrow morning, all stations
will be running high power and we'll have a chance to work them.
