The Peter One operation has been written in the history books as a success. I hope it was written in your logbooks as well. 87,000 qso's with their operation cut short by weather is a pretty outstanding effort. I was able to log some new band country and mode contacts. I was really impressed by their 160m signal the night I worked them. I continued to listen for a time after my QSO and their signal kept building till it was several S units above the noise.

I hope we had some good fun in the ARRL contests this season. Rick, N0YY will be sharing his experiences in Guadeloupe with us at the April meeting. There have been numerous other tests that I have missed, but I hope some of you were able to enjoy them.

Looks like if there are some of us that missed out on the last VU4 operation because of the Sunami, there is a DX convention planned in VU4 that will be attended by some of the premier operators of the world who are going to be licensed to operate from there. Glen, W0GJ has made arrangements to go. He has rented a house on a hill and will be on after the convention. He has made it known that he will be looking for ZEROS. The downside could be the propagation at this point in the cycle and antenna--- power limitations due to travel accomodations. Also, FYI, he likes low bands.

My winter project has been the conversion of an SB220 for use on 6m. I just got it up and running last week. After making some adjustment to the estimated tank values it finally loads to a KW into my dummy load. So bring on the sunspots.

Well signs of spring are definately around us, so, it must be time to plan for antenna projects. If what you have up now didn't fall down over the winter, it wasn't big enough. It's time to think bigger.

Hope to see all of you at the April meeting.
