[EIDXA] Tower Climbing

I have a project that I think the EIDXA should consider. DXers need
antennas to work DX. Most successful DXers have a tower and antennas up
above the house tops, some way above. DXers, like most hams, are getting
older on the average!
I've recently been trying to help a group get an antenna installed on an
existing tower. The problem is that it is very hard to find anyone who
can/will still climb a tower. I know in my case I can still get the top of
my tower but I'm not much good at getting anything useful done when I'm up
there. Others have health problems that prevent them from climbing.
Is there anything the EIDXA can do to help with this? Can we identify a
list of those, in the club and outside, who are willing to climb a tower?
Should we encourage some fee structure making tower climbing a part time
business? Does anyone have any suggestions on how we might solve this
problem?
It seems that if Restrictive Covenants, Power-line noise and BPL don't get
us, old age will!!!
I hope to discuss this at the ROMEO lunch tomorrow and I hope Gary will put
it on the agenda to discuss at the next meeting.
