Thought you would be interested in this - we have Rod Blocksome and Tom
Vinson out on the search for Amelia in the Pacific. Several people here
have contacted them. and they do enjoy the contacts. They have a busy
schedule but have been working the10 meter propagation window most nights.
It is only open for a about an hour on each band.

If you are, then the ionospheric conditions are slightly improved - no
flare activity. I use the site http://www.sec.noaa.gov/SWN/ and also
http://www.spaceweather.com
10 will peak at 1:00 UTC
15 will peak between 2:00 and 2:30 UTC
and 20 might be usable for a couple of hours after that.
Frequencies are 28.470, 21.370, 14.270 plus minus QRM
Anyone hear him last night or get email from them?
Steve
PS After a discussion with Dan Roesler - I will be using the the smoothed
sun spot number available on the net. Go to http://www.propman2000.com and
click on the Effictive Sun Spot Indecies or got to
http://www.nwra-az.com/spawx/ssne.html. For the last several months this
has been hanging at 150 which according to Dan is as good as it gets.
