I decide to run Propman to see how the path was looking to the Pacific.
The effective sunspot number is holding around 140. Things have shifted a
bit later and lower in frequencies. Predicted signal strengths have
dropped.
All times are GMT. Frequencies are 14.270 - 21.370 - 28.470 plus minus QRM
The path to the Cedar Rapids area has deteriorated about 8 to 10 db from a
couple of weeks ago due to the seasonal shift.
10 meters is very marginal about 0100, 15 meters looks a little better at
0200 and 20 meters about 0530 and again about 0900 and 1300. None of these
are great, but a good antenna and an amp on our end should work them if
they are on.
As the guys on the phone patches are reporting, the Dallas station has a
better path by about 3 to 5 dB.
10 meters is peaks at 0200, 15 meters at 0300, and 20 meters at. 0600 but
down a bit.
Happy hunting
I will send a copy of this to Rod.
