Your restored rig looks great! I still have my original Novice 723 (purchased used in 1967, and all the 
cold solder joints corrected!) and a 722 VFO I built a year later or so when I passed the General. 
(Sorry, the 722's not for sale.)

I've considered getting it back on the air a bit, but the last time I took it for a spin, it had a good bit of 
hum (how's a 553 report ?) so I was considering replacing the filter caps before using it again. I 
noticed that you used 100 uF/450 V instead of the original 40 uF/450V. Did you also replace the filter 
choke (listed as a 5/25H choke - e.g., swinging)?
