[EICO] Ecio 723 FINISHED

     Your comment about the view of the 723 just sitting there, really hit 
home.  I still use mine occasionally, but even when I just look at it on the 
shelf I get flashbacks to getting up at 3 or 4am in 1966, being careful not 
to wake anyone else in the house, and trying to find DX on the novice 
sections of 80 and 40 meters.  The light cast from the EICO and my 
Hallicrafters receiver was enough to copy and read code without the room 
lights on.  I can still remember the sound of the power supply's slight buzz 
on key-down and the smell of the 6DQ6B during a long QSO.
     It's nice to know that others appreciate these simple pleasures, by 
doing your rebuild you have guaranteed that another 723 will be around for a 
long time to give future generations a glimpse of the past.
