I'm not sure how/why this thread degraded to a discussion about the use of
esnipe and similar utility programs/services.

However, there is not much to fear from ebay cookies. We use adaware to
remove harmful cookies and spyware programs. It is top rated. It does not
touch ebay cookies, which is more than I can say for other websites:>:

The adaware standard is a good one, if it says ebay cookies are ok, it
means they are:>:

By the bye....we run our browser settings at medium security, and we do
reject some cookies from ebay. But, ebay doesn't object to this. If the
little symbol near the bottom of the browser indicates a symbol with a
minus (" - " ) sign in it, that means that the site tried to perform a
function that your security setting did not allow. This could be minor or
blatant offense.

If the site refuses to operate properly with the security setting you have
chosen, then you need to email them and tell them that you can't use their
site and then don't go back until they change their settings. Don't change
your settings just to accommodate them as they win that way:>:

PS:Passwords being remembered is not a cookie function. It is a setting of
the browser. Don't blame this on cookies. Set your browser to forget log
ins and passwords in all but the most minor sites. Anything that involves
money or finances should not be set to allow the browser to 'remember' and
transmit your password(s) automatically.
