04/11/2004:  Miki, YT1CS, currently active as 5Z4YT1CS from Nairobi, has
arranged a side trip to Lamu Island (IOTA AF-040) between the period of
November 4-11th. He will be active on 80 through 10 meter SSB only,
using 100W into an inverted Vee for 40/80 meters and verticals for the
higher bands. The call to be used in this operation will be 5Z4YT1CS/m.
Look for him on the usual IOTA frequencies. He will stay in Kenya until

04/11/2004:  Look for BA4DW to be active November 4-9th as BA4DW/4 from

04/11/2004:  Masayoshi, JF1UIO, will be QRV November 4-8th as FK/JF1UIO
from Loyalty Islands (OC-033, Difo to be given in time). He will be

05/11/2004:  Dov (4Z4DX) and 4Z5NB will be QRV November 5th from various
Holyland grid squares, operating mobile. The travel plans are as
follows: Starting at 09:00 UTC (14265 kHz) from R-10-HD on road 65 and
will activate H-09-HD, J-09-HD, J-O9-JN, J-09-YZ, J-08-YZ, K-08-YZ,
K-09-YZ, K-09-JN, L-09-YZ, L-10-YZ, M-10-YZ and M-09-YZ. QSL via home

05/11/2004:  Bill, W5SJ, will be QRV November 5-11th as VP2EJ from
Anguilla (NA-022). Activity will be on 80-6 meters, mostly CW, with an

from the Odesima Island (AS-076) (JIIA AS-076 new one for the Japanese

06/11/2004:  Nick, NH6ON, will be back to Antarctica between November
6th and December 15th for his annual communications engineering trip. He
hopes to operate from KC4AAA at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole station

06/11/2004:  Vlady, RU3HD, will be active for about four months starting
November 6, 2004, as R1ANN and RU3HD/ANT from Saam Novolazarevskaya
base, Antarctica (IOTA AN-016, WAP RS-13, WABA UA-08, WW Loc: JB59VF,
CQ-38, ITU-67). Operation is planned for all HF bands. QSL via RZ3DJ

from the islands of Gorriti and Lobos (IOTA SA-039). Activity will be on

11/11/2004:  Jean Pierre, F5AHO, will be active November 11-24th as
FY/F5AHO from French Guyana. Look for him to be active from the Salut

11/11/2004:  Look for Jeff, VA3QSL/W4, to be QRV on IOTA NA-069 between
November 11 - 13, 2004. He plans to activate Estero (USI FL-035S, Lee
county) and possibly Sanibel (USI FL-021S, Lee county) and Captiva (USI
FL-020S, Lee county) Islands, Florida. Activity will likely be on 14.260

11/11/2004:  ZX0ECF (PT2HF) and ZX0GTI (PT2GTI) are the calls to be used
in November from the Brazilian station "Comandante Ferraz" (PY-01 for
the Antarctica Award) on King George Island, South Shetlands (IOTA
AN-010). The activity is expected to take place November 11-19th on 160
through 6 meter SSB, RTTY, PSK31, CW and SSTV. PT2DX/MM might be aired
from the "Ary Rongel" during the voyage; weather permitting, there might
be also some activity from Elephant Island (AN-010) on November 7-8th.

12/11/2004:  Bob, N4BP, and Nelson, NE4LS, will be QRV November 12-14th
as homecall/p from Garden Key, (USI FL-013S), Dry Tortugas (IOTA NA-079,
Monroe county), Florida. They will also activate the Dry Tortugas
lighthouse (TWLH reference K-066, WLH LH-0274, ARLHS USA-316).Activity
will be QRP CW on 14.060 (+/-), 14.007 - 14.020 and 10.103 - 10.120 MHz.

LOOKING AHEAD -

13/11/2004:  Wood Island (IOTA SA-021) will be activated for the first
time November 12-14th. This Island comprises The Reserve of multiple
resourses of Bahia Blanca, False Bahia and Green Bahia, created by the
Legislature of Buenos Aires Province. It's located at 5 Hours of
Navigation from the Ingeniero White Port. Everything is ready to start
the expedition. A vessel has been hired to set off on Friday morning so
as to arrive at daylight and immediately transfer the materials to a
high area where water would not creep up the camping place. They will
work in all bands and modes (including WARC bands and digimodes)
depending on propagation. As usual, Special Callsigns will not used,
only Personal Calls "/D" (Buenos Aires Province) and special FULL COLOUR

20/11/2004:  Four Japanese operators, Toshi JA1ELY, Taki JH3QFL, Nob
JA6WIF, and Yasu JA6WJL will be QRV from Majuro Island (OC-029) between
November 20 and 24. For Taki, Nob, and Yasu, this will be the first
DXpedition and they expect to be welcomed by many Europe and East Coast
stations. They already applied their callsign V73EY, V73B, V73IF and
V73WJ. They will be active on all HF bands and all modes with three
stations. Toshi will concentrate on low bands include 160m with 500W
amplifier. Yasu will concentrate on 15m, 12m, 10m, RTTY, SSTV and 10
meter FM. Nob will mainly operate CW on any band. Taki likes 20m and

14/11/2004:  60th anniversary of the liberation of Strasbourg: The Haut
Rhin department and F6KQV's ARS members will air the special callsign
TM6OST between November 14th and 28th. HF CW/digit/SSB - will also try
on 144/SSB and also on FM through the close F, DL, LX, ON and HB
repeaters. QSL via Gerard F5PWH. Each QSO will be confirmed by a special
