18/06/2004: The WestNet DX Group will be active from Inis Mor in the
Aran Islands (EU-006), from Friday, June 18th, to Tuesday, June 22nd.
Callsign used will be EJ7NET, and activity will be on HF and 6m. QSL via

18/06/2004: G1CDP/p will be QRV June 18th from the Berry Head
lighthouse (ARLHS reference ENG-007). Activity will be SSB only, as

18/06/2004: DS2GOO (Han), DS3HWS (Son), DS5BSX (Chae), 6K2CLF (Choi)
and others will be active from Kadok Island (AS-081) between June 18th
and 20th. They will operate as homecall/5 (QSL via home call, direct or
bureau) or D90HE/5 (QSL via DS2GOO, direct or bureau) with 100w

18/06/2004: Look for Aleksandr US0KW/p, Valerie UX0KX/p, Sergey
UX2KA/p, Roman UT7UA/p and Igor ex-UB5KGA to be QRV June 18th to 20th
from Lypna Island (UIA NOL-02, for the Ukrainian Islands Award) located
in Lake Nobel (Zarichne district URDA reference RI-09, WW Loc. KO21VU).
Activity will be on all bands, including WARC, SSB and CW. They will
also give special attention to 6 meters. QSL via home calls, direct or

18/06/2004: IK2DUV, IK2UVT and IK4JPR plan to be QRV June 18th to 21st
from Isola Palmaria (not IOTA, IIA SP-001), located in Liguria Province.
Main activity on 6 metres, but they will operate on the HF bands as

18/06/2004: The 9th RDA DXpedition by RK6YYA, for the Russian Districts
Award, will start June 18th and end June 24th. The schedule is as
follows: June 18th activation of areas MD-12 and MD-23, Republic of
Mordovia (MD); June 19th activation of areas MD-14, MD-16 and MD-17;
June 20th activation of areas MD-07, MD-24 and MD-25; June 21st
activation of areas RA-10 and RA-25, Ryazanskaya oblast (RA); June 22nd
activation of areas RA-14 and RA-26; June 23rd activation of area VR-38,
Voronezhskaya oblast (VR) and area BO-08, Belgorodskaya oblast (BO);
June 24th activation of areas BO-16 and BO-22. QSL goes via RV6YZ,

RW9TP/p from the Totsky Area (RDA OB-48, for the Russian Districts

18/06/2004: UT3UZ (Alex), UT5UAE, UT4UAA, UT4UBS and possibly others
plan to be QRV June 18th to 20th as UT7UZZ/p from the Ivankiv district
(URDA reference KO-16, for the Ukrainian Districts Award) and the
Polis'ke district (URDA KO-25), of Kiev region. Activity will be on SSB

18/06/2004: James, VE3TPZ will be heading out on the 18th of June to
the 28th of June doing some Islands and Lighthouses down in Eastern
Ontario while doing some business stuff during the day time hours. Check
on 20 meters on IOTA and Lighthouse frequencies 14260, 14270 kHz and 40
mtrs around 7270, 7067 Khz after 20:00 UTC. June 23rd James should be on

19/06/2004: Vanni, IK4RUX reports he will operate (HF bands SSB) as
IF9/IK4RUX from Favignana (IOTA EU-054, IIA TP-011, MIA MI-025) between
June 19th and 26th. Side trips to other islands in the Egadis as well as

19/06/2004: Salvatore, IK1AWV will be QRV June 19th, weather
permitting, using the special call IR1CL from the Castle of Andora
Paraxo (DCI reference SV-028, for the Italian Castles Award) and the

of Liguria, Province of Savona (SV), ITA Award reference A278 and WW
Locator JN43BW. Activity will on 40 and 20 meter SSB only, starting on

19/06/2004: Igor, UA3EDQ will be active June 19th as UA3EDQ/4/m from

20/06/2004: URE Madrid is going to take part in the DIE contest (June
20th) as ED4MAD from Alfalfa Island (DIEI reference M-020). The

of Anticosti (IOTA NA-007, CIsA QC-001) in the second half of June. Note
that the Island of Anticosti is NOT in Zone 2. His operation from
Anticosti Island will be between June 21st (about 1300z) and June 30th
(1300z). The callsign to be used is VE2/VE3EXY/P. QSL via VE3EXY. The
sunrise/sunset times are: 0742z/2345z. His suggested frequencies are:
CW - 7010, 10107, 14025, 18077, 21025 kHz; SSB - 14260, 21260, 7060 kHz
(USA split included). He will always work split (2 kHz CW, 5-10 kHz

22/06/2004: Laurence, KL1X/5 (GM4DMA) will be active on HF and 6 metres

voluntary organization and time for amateur radio may be limited. QSL

22/06/2004: UA9KM Nikolai, UA9KB Sergey, RA9KM Andrey, UA9KGH/1
Mikhail, UA9LAC Boris, RV6LFE Timothy, UT7CR Valerie and UT9IO
(ex.UA9KO) Mikhail will be QRV June 22nd to July 1st as RK9KWK/p from
Litke Island (RRA RR-06-02, RDA JN-14, Yamalo-Nenetsky Autonomous Okrug
[JN]) located in the Marresal'skiye Koshki group (IOTA AS-089). They
plan to have 3 stations set up and will operate all bands, including

22/06/2004: Serge, F6AUS will be active June 22nd to July 23rd as
TK/F6AUS from Corsica (IOTA EU-014, DIFM TK-001). He also plans to
operate from Corsica's Coastal Islands (IOTA EU-164) for one or two
weekends and from the Cerbicales Islands (IOTA EU-100) for a few days.

23/06/2004: A group of radio amateurs will be QRV between June 23rd and
27th as UE6EWX and homecall/p from the Zelenchuksky area (RDA reference
KC-04, for the Russian Districts Award). There is the possibility that

LOOKING AHEAD -
28/06/2004: Look for K4T to be QRV June 28th to July 1st from Garden
Key (USI FL-013S), Dry Tortugas (IOTA NA-079, Monroe county, WW Loc.
EL84) and from the Fort Jefferson lighthouse (ARLHS USA-316), Florida.
Activity will be on 80, 40 and 20 meters, with a concentration on 6
meters. The 20 meter frequency will be 14.260 MHz, 6 meter beacon on
50.098 MHz. QSL K4T via KC4PX (QRZ.com). [Tnx KC4PX]
23/07/2004: As you may recall, Basappa (VU2NXM) and Arasu (VU2UR) have
earlier indicated their intention to return to Elephanta Island (IOTA
AS-169). They received written permission to operate from the island and
will attempt to do so sometime between July 23rd and 28th. They will use
the same callsign used during their first activation, AT0BI. They want
to be on the air during the IOTA Contest (July 24-25th), but the time on
the island will depend on the local weather conditions. Heavy rain is a
factor that may affect their plans and, under severe conditions, cancel

24/07/2004: The radio club F6KHM will be active from Ile D'Ouessant
(IOTA EU-065, DIFM AT-001, WW Loc. IN78li) for RSGB IOTA Contest (July
24-25th) as TM4Z. They will particpate in the MOABHP category. QSL via

28/08/2004: The Roanoke Valley Amateur Radio Club W4CA will activate
Christmas Tree Island (USI VA-New), located on Smith Mountain Lake in
Virginia. Activity will be on 80, 40 and 20 meters, starting 11:00 UTC
August 28th and ending 23:00 UTC August 29th. Look for the Station on or
about 14.270, 7.270 and 3.860 MHz. QSL via CBA for a nice color QSL card
