El Hierro Island (IOTA AF-004, DIE S-015). They will be transmitting
from the Orchilla lighthouse (FEA D-2839 for the Spanish Lighthouses

15/07/2004:  RA3NAN, RZ3EC, RZ0OA, RW0OO and RN0CT will operate as RI0CM
from the Malminskiye Islands (RRA RR-13-11 new one!, RDA HK-13), Sea of
Okhotsk Coast North group (AS-new!) starting on July 15th for at least
one week. They plan to have two stations with amplifiers. QSL via RZ3EC

16/07/2004:  Operators CT1EPV (Antonio), CT1AGF (Luis), CT3FN (Hermann),
CT3MD (Jose), HB9EBV (Toni) and DJ2VO (Juergen) will be active as CT9P
from Porto Santo Island (IOTA AF-014, DIP MA-002). Activity will be from
the Lighthouse of Ilheu de Cima (WLA LH-0830, DFP FMA-01) between July
16th and 19th. Operation will be on CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31 on 40-10
meters. They will have 2 stations active (where one station is reserved
for the digital modes). They plan to use a spider beam for 10/15/20m and
a 40m delta loop. The Ilheu de Cima has no permanent inhabitants. The
equipment, food, water etc.. must be carried 111m up from the landing
point. Therefore, they are very happy that they can use the lighthouse
facilities and that they don't have to carry a generator, fuel, tents

16/07/2004:  Gianpaolo, IK1TTD will be active between July 16th and 31st
from Sardinia (IOTA EU-024, IIA SD-001, MIA MIS-035), including an entry

18/07/2004:  Jon, WB8YJF, will be active from Ocracoke Island, NC (IOTA
NA-067, USI NC-001S) between July 18th and 25th. His activity will
include an entry in the RSGB IOTA Contest. His callsign will be
WB8YJF/4. Operations will be on 80 through 10 meter, CW, RTTY, and SSB.
Also, Jon reports that he will take a 6m rig with him this year. He will
be using a TS-830S barefoot to a vertical. Please QSL direct for FAST

19/07/2004:  Aniko HA5TAA (XYL) and Feri HA5AAZ have plans to activate
different Croatian islands between July 19th and August 1st. They will
use 9A/homecall from the IOTA EU-016 group, near Rogoznice, including
Grbavac (IOCA CI-171, MIA  CI-187) and Maslinovik (IOCA CI-193, MIA
MC-238). QSL via their home calls either direct or through the bureau.

19/07/2004:  Feco, HA8KW, will be active as 9A/HA8KW from the Island of
Rab (IOTA EU-136, IOCA CI-096, MIA MC-330), July 19th to 26th. He will
participate in IOTA Contest (Low Power, 12-hour). After his activity
from the Island of Rab, he will activate the Island of Brac (IOTA
EU-016, IOCA CI-010, MIA MC-042) from July 26th to August 2nd. After
August 2nd, Feco will go to Pag Island (EU-170, IOCA CI-082, MIA
MC-282). Activity from all locations will be on 30 through 10 meters.

23:00 UTC on July 19th from the Krasnoturansky Area (RDA reference

20/07/2004:  Look for Laci HA6NL to be active as 9A6NL and Zsolt HA6PS,
Tibor HA6ZV, Al HA7JJS to be active as 9A/homecall, from the QTH of
Branko 9A2ZD at Maly Pasman, Pasman Island (IOTA: EU-170, IOCA: CI-085,
MIA MC-291) between July 20th and 30th, IOTA Contest included. They will
build up a portable contest station with Yagis, TEN-TEC radios and so

21/07/2004:  The Cray Valley Radio Society will be operating from 21
July to 26 July, 2004, on the Isles of Scilly (IOTA EU-011). M8C/P is
the proposed call for the IOTA contest (July 24-25th). All other times
the operators will use homecall/p. The will be active on all bands, SSB,
CW and data modes. The operators will be G0VJG (Nobby), G4BUO (Dave),

LOOKING AHEAD -

09/08/2004:  Steve, W3HF, will be active as W3HF/4 from Bogue Banks
Island (IOTA NA-112, USI NC-010S, Grid Loc. FM14, Carteret County),
North Carolina, from August 9th to 15th. Operation will be QRP on 40
through 15 meters. Equipment will be a vertical and a Yaesu FT-817.
Primary mode will be PSK, with some SSB possible. (Steve requests that
stations who want to schedule an SSB contact e-mail him before the trip
at w3hf at arrl.net.) This operation qualifies for the APE (August PSK
Expedition) endorsement from the PODXS 070 Club
(http://www.podxs.com/html/070_club.html). There is also a possibility
of 6m (PSK and/or SSB) operation, from either Steve or his ten-year-old

20/08/2004:  From August 20 to 25, 2004, in the honor of the 13th
