11/08/2004:  Hans, ON6ZK, will be active from Gran Canaria (IOTA AF-004,
DIE S-005) as EA8/ON6ZK, August 11-19th. His activity will only be on 17
meters. Watch 18155 kHz for SSB and 18080 kHz for CW (+/- depending on
QRM). He will use a TS-50 with 50 watts and an inverted dipole. Look for
him mainly during his evening hours. QSL is OK via the bureau or direct.

11/08/2004:  Some operators of the Seoul National University Amateur
Radio Club will be QRV as HL0U/4 from Sounyu Island, IOTA AS-148,
between August 11 to 15, 2004. Activity will be on 40 to 10 meter CW and

11/08/2004:  Filippo, I4TDK reports he will operate as IB0/I4TDK from
Ponza Island (IOTA EU-045, I.I.A. LT-001, M.I.A. MI-076) betwwen August

11/08/2004:  Carlo, I4ALU, plans to be QRV August 11th to 24th from
Bonaire Island (SA-006). Activity will be on 40 through 10 meter CW. QSL

from Majuro (OC-029), Marshall Islands. He plans to operate on 80

13/08/2004:  DS1NPP, DS4NMJ, DS5EVU, DS5LRJ and 6K5TET will be active as
D88DX from Sonanji Island (AS-080, KDN F17) between August 13 and 16,

13/08/2004:  Sven, DD6VSF will be QRV August 13th to 15th as DD6VSF/p
from Usedom Island (IOTA EU-129, GIA O-13 for the German Islands Award).

13/08/2004:  Hal, KC8FS, will operate SSB and CW as EI/KC8FS/p from
Ireland between August 13-23, 2004. He plans to be active from Clifden,
the site of Marconi's wireless station used during the early 20th
century and the Aran Islands (EU-006). Hal has also received permission
to operate from the Mizen Head Signal Station (ARLHS IRE-053) on August
21, 2004, during the International Lighthouse/Lightship Weekend. QSL via

13/08/2004:  RW6CT, RA6AU, RA6AX, UA6LGR and UA6MF plan to operate on
40-10 meter CW and SSB as either UE6WTI/p (QSL via UA6MF) and
homecalls/6 from Tyuleniy Island (not IOTA, RRA RR-18-01) and lighthouse

13/08/2004:  Harald, LA6LHA, and Roger, LA4GHA, are doing a mini
DXpedition to Svalbard (EU-026). They will operate from August 13-15th.
Their callsigns will be JW6LHA (Harald) and JW4GHA (Roger). Activity

13/08/2004:  Jakob, OZ7AEI will be active between August 13th and 15th
as OZ7AEI/p from Sjaelland Island (IOTA EU-029, DIA SJ-001) and

activate 3 lighthouses in the area of Stevns, namely Stevns GL P (ARLHS
DEN-042), Stevns NY (ARLHS DEN-123) and Rodvig East Mole (ARLHS

Pestjakovsky Area (RDA IV-21), Verhnelandehovsky Area (RDA IV-10),
possible Luhsky Area (RDA IV-19), and the Palehsky Area (RDA IV-20),

14/08/2004:  Francois, F5JNE, and Gerard, F6ICG, will be QRV August 14th
as F5JNE/p from the Castle of Reconfort (DFCF reference 58061 for the

Canton of Tannay DDCF 5824 and Zip Code 58190) in Saizy Town. Activity
will be on 40 and 20 meters, starting around 06:30 UTC, CW and SSB. QSL

14/08/2004:  Brian, M0ARK, will be active August 14th to 24th as
F/M0ARK/P from Re Island (IOTA EU-032, DIFM AT-022). Activity will be on
HF bands SSB, but will concentrate on 6 meters when the band is open.

14/08/2004:  Palle, OZ5MJ/p and Jakob, OZ7AEI/p will operate from two
lighthouses (namely Enebaer Odde/DEN-061 and Bogense/DEN-215) on Fyn
Island (IOTA EU-172, DIA FY-001 for the Danish Islands Award) August 14,
2004. Look for them on 40 and 20 meter SSB starting around 08.30 UTC.

14/08/2004:  Vlad UA2FF will be active August 14th and 15th as UA2FF/p
from the Krasnoznamensky Area (RDA reference KA-16) or the Nesterovsky
Area (RDA KA-18), Kaliningradskaya oblast (KA). QSL via home call,

15/08/2004:  Ric, DL2VFR, will be QRV between August 15th and 27th as
OZ/DL2VFR from Bornholm Island (EU-030). Activity will be mostly CW
during the ILLW (August 21-22nd) together with OZ/DL2SWW from different

16/08/2004:  Jan, K4QD, a member of the Florida DXpedition Group, will
be active as HH4/K4QD from August 16-27th. Jan is traveling to the
Northwest Haiti Christian Mission where he will operate as time permits.
He will be active on most bands on SSB and CW. QSL to K4QD via his new
CBA (January 2004) or via the bureau. UPDATE: Jan announced that he will
be taking a 6 meter station and antenna with him. He will leave the
station monitoring 50.125 MHz for openings and activity while working on
other projects. The NW Haiti Christian Mission is Grid Square FK39. [Tnx

16/08/2004:  Peter, MM5PSL, plans to be QRV August 16th to 18th as
MM5PSL/p from the Island of Bressay (IOTA EU-012, IOSA SH06, SCOTIA

24th from the Moscowsky Area (RDA reference CU-03), Republic of

lighthouse is located in Department 11 (Aude), in the Province of

21/08/2004:  Eagle Harbor, Michigan - Keweenaw County - Eagle Harbor
Lighthouse (ARLHS reference USA-253) will be active in the International
Lighthouse & Lightship Weekend (Aug 21-22), using the special 1x1 call
K8E. Modes of operation include HF/VHF, CW/SSB, FM Satellite and
possible HF digital. Collectors of ARLHS numbers can get credit for
three upon request: Eagle Harbor Lighthouse (USA-253), Front Range Light
(USA-254) and Rear Range Light (USA-255). Further information can be

08/09/2004:  Christophe will be QRV as TK/F4DZY, mainly in HF/SSB,
