LOOKING AHEAD -
21/11/2003: Oleg, UA1PBA, reports that he is currently in St.
Petersburg preparing for the upcoming Antarctic summer season as R1ANF.
He will leave for Saam Bellingshausen Base (WABA UA-004) located on King
George Island, South Shetland Islands (IOTA AN-010), the middle of
November by plane. Arrival is planned sometime between November 21st and
24th. Oleg will again be chief of the station during this season.
However, it can not be ruled out that he will stay there longer (maybe a
year and a half) due to all the work which has to be done. The R1ANF
team this season will consist of the following operators: Slava UA1PAI,
Aleksei UA1PAW (you know him from last season) and Oleg UA1PBA. If work
allows they will be active also from other locations. However, detailed
plans but are not made at this time. [Tnx DL5EBE]
