OC-010) as V63ZP, V63GO and V63DX, respectively, between May 12th and 15th.

13/05/2003: Len VE9MY/V01 and Linda VE9GLF/V01 will be on the Island of
Newfoundland (CIsA NF-001, IOTA NA-027) from May 13th to May 22nd and in
their spare time will try to activate some Canadian Islands. This is a
working trip so their operations will be in the evening during the week and
for May 17th to 19th they will attempt to get some islands activated (NA-027
and NA-198). QSL will be to home address (QRZ.com) for direct or via the
bureau. If you work them on a number of islands it is not necessary to send

16/05/2003: Dana, VE1VOX, will be attending his daughter's hockey tournment
on Prince Edward Island (NA-029) from May 16th to 18th. As was the case last
year, he will be activating as time permits, the following CIsA qualifiers
as well as related lighthouses all within NA-029: Panmure Island PE-002,
ARLHS CAN-363; Robinson Island PE-003 ARLHS CAN-350; Poplar Island PE-005;
Wood Island PE-007, ARLHS 535, 536, 537; and possibly Lennox Island PE-004.

starting May 11th for about 10 days as XU7ACE. Operation will be on 40
through 6 meters, mostly SSB. He is also planning an operation from IOTA
AS-133 for May 17th and 18th, but this depends on weather conditions as it
is now the rainy season. QSL via home call, ES1FB, direct prefered (bureau
cards accepted, but takes more time). Previous XU7ACE bureau cards are

18/05/2003: The Association des Radio Amateurs des Cotes d'Armor (ARACA 22)
members will be active May 18th from the Cap Frehel Lighthouse as F6KBO/p.
Operation will be from 06:30 to 16:00 UTC on all HF and VHF bands. Award

18/05/2003: Thomas, DL7UZO, will be active as OZ/homecall from Bornholm
Island (EU-030, BO-001 for the Danish Islands Award, Grid JO75), May 18th to
23rd. Activity will be on the IOTA frequencies 80 through 10 meters,
including the WARC bands and 6 meters (50.100 MHz CW and WSJT on 50.250
MHz). Operations will be on CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31 using a FT-847 + Dipole.

18/05/2003: Ken, W8KL, will be active from the North Carolina State East
Group (NA-067) between May 18th and 22nd. This will be a "Mobile Operating
Position" using a FT-100D/Hamstick Mobile Antenna. Look for him on SSB on
14260 kHz (+/- QRM) during the afternoons/evenings (East Coast Time), if
band conditions are good. He will also try during the mornings for JA/VK

22/05/2003: From May 22nd to 26th, look for the Castres DX Gang members, to
be active once more from the Fort Brescou Island (French departments award:
Herault (34), French Provinces award: Languedoc-Roussillon, IOTA EU-148,
DIFM ME-001, WLHA LH-0500, French Forts and Castles award DFCF:34001, WW Loc
JN13SG). The operators include F5AUB, F5XX, F5BJW, F4CLO, F5JBR, F5UOE,
F5BLP and F6DBX. Activity is planned on HF + 6 meters bands, SSB, CW, RTTY
and PSK31. At least 4 stations with beams, wires and amps, will be on the
air as 2 using SSB, one using CW and one using PSK31/RTTY/CW. The call sign

31/05/2003: The Motor City Radio Club Station W8MRM will again be operating
on the air from a station set up on Grosse Ile (USI MI-005R, Wayne County),
Michigan, at the annual IslandFest. The festival committee will be issuing
certificates to stations making a two way contact with W8MRM. The IslandFest
will run May 31st between 14:00 and 21:00 UTC and June 1st between 15:00 and
19:00 UTC. Look for activity around 7.044, 7.244, 14.044 and 14.244 MHz. For
certificate send SASE and be sure to include contact number (IslandFest -

31/05/2003: Mike, AD5A, and his sons Micheal, AB5EB, and Jake, KB5SKN, will
activate Isla del Maiz Pequena (NA-013, Grid EK82), Nicaragua, between May
31st and June 2nd. This is a RARE island and only about 10% of the IOTA
chasers have it. All operators are experienced IOTA operators and have
activated several island before. The family operators will use an IC-706
with an amp and a vertical antenna. The team will be active on RTTY and

24/05/2003: Special event call IR3IDO will be aired between May 24th and
June 15th for the 75th anniversary of the North Pole expedition led by
general Nobile. As many will recall, radio was instrumental in the search
and rescue operation for the expeditioners who had survived the airship

01/06/2003: As every year the departement de la Manche REF Hams will use
from June 1st to 9th 2003, the callsign TM6JUN. Several stations will be
active from Utah Beach, one, settled in an old bunker which was used as the
first Allied Signal Corps center in Normandy as early as the 8th of June
1944, and another in the Landing Museum. Frequencies: CW: 3526, 7026, 14026,
18070, 21026, 24900 and 28026 kHz; SSB: 3644, 7074, 14174, 18160, 21174,

07/06/2003: SF-DX-AG will activate again the call F/ON6JUN/P during the
festivities in Ranville .This year it's 59 years ago that Europe was
Liberated (D-Day). This special event station will be on-air on all major HF
bands and 50 MHz from Thursday the 5th of June till Saturday evening the 7th
of June, 2003. They also have a web site at http://www.qsl.net/on6jun/ .

07/06/2003: To commemorate the 59th anniversary of the OVERLORD operation
D. Day and landing in Normandy on June 6th 1944. From his home in the Sainte
M�re Eglise area, which was the first French village liberated in Normandy
during the night of the 5th to 6th of June 1944, by the American 82nd "The
All American, Gen. GAVIN and BRIGWAY" and 101st "Screaming Eagles, Gen.
TAYLOR", Airborne paratroopers, Michel, F6IPS will use the special callsign
TM6SME on all HF bands using either CW or SSB. The special callsign TM6SME
traffic period is planned from June 6th to 20th. Michel will begin each
traffic session on 40 CW and he will QSY (bands and/or mode) according to
propagation conditions and requests. Using the sames modes, Michel will
