(EU-015) until May 15th. He will be on RTTY during the ARI and Volta
contests; outside the contests, he will be active again on PSK31, including

01/05/2003:  To celebrate the 20th anniversary of club station T70A the
amateur members of national association ARRSM will be active during May with
own callsign from Castles of San Marino valid for award "Diploma dei

02/05/2003:  A team of 8 members of IOCA Group (9A2WJ, 9A6AA, 9A7N, DF9MV,
DJ3XG, DL1SDN, DL5MFL, DL9CHR), with DE0MST as team-leader and member of WLH
Management Committee, will be active as 9A0CI and 9A/homecall/p from Vela
Palagruza and Otocic Palagruza lighthouse (EU-090, CI-084, LH-0057) between
May 2nd and 10th. They also propose to operate from Mala Palagruza (EU-090,
CI-461) and Galijula Island (EU-090, CI-462). Operation will be SSB and CW
near the IOTA and lighthouse frequencies, from 80 through 10 meters. QSL

02/05/2003:  Terry, M0CLH, will be QRV May 2nd to 9th as SV8/M0CLH/P from
Skopelos Island (EU-072). This will be a holiday style operation on 20
through 10 meter SSB. Terry will be running 5 watts into dipoles and ground

02/05/2003:  Look for members of the Radio Club of Provins, F6KOP, to be QRV
May 2nd to 12th from Ile de Groix (IOTA EU-048, DIFM AT-012, DFCF 56011,

bands, HF through UHF, CW, SSB, PSK31, RTTY and SSTV. QSL TM7R via F6KOP.

03/05/2003:  Look for Jean-Baptiste, F8DQL, to be active as FO/F8DQL from
Tahiti (IOTA OC-046, DIFO FO-002) between May 3rd and 25th. It will be an
Only CW activity. Jean-Baptiste has also planned a several days trip to
Moorea (IOTA OC-046, DIFO FO-010) which dates will be given in time.
Frequencies will be 21.030, 28.030 and 14.030 MHz (+/- QRM). QSL via home

03/05/2003:  Ruggero, IK2PZC, plans to be active May 3rd to 10th as
IG9/IK2PZC from Lampedusa (AF-019, IIA AG-001). Operation will be on 40, 20,
15 and 10 meter SSB. During the ARI International DX Contest (May 3-4) he

03/05/2003:  Look for Mark, W7ZB, to be QRV May 3rd to 13th as V31ZB from
St. George's Cay (NA-073), Belize. He plans to operate 40, 20 and 15 meter

03/05/2003:  Look for VK9LS to be aired by Trevor, VK7TS, and Rex, VK7MO,
from Lord Howe Island (OC-004) between May 3rd and 10th. Trevor will be
operating on 10, 15 and 20 metres SSB, CW, PSK, RTTY and SSTV. Rex will be
on 2m, 70cm and 23cm using JT44, FSK441, VFSKCW and SSB looking for contacts
within meteor scatter and aircraft enhancement range. QSL via bureau or

06/05/2003:  Look for Fabien, FO/F8CFU, to be QRV May 6th to 16th from
Tubuai Island (OC-152, DIFO FO-126), Austral Islands. He will operate on 10,
12, 15, 17, 20 and 30 metres with a 2-element and dipoles. QSL via home

09/05/2003:  Look for members of the Pernambuco State club to be QRV as
ZW7AA between May 9th and 11th from the Ponta de Pedras (PE) Lighthouse (DFB
reference PE-03 for the Brazilian Lighthouse Award, Grid HI22). Operation
will be on 40 through 6 meters, SSB and CW. A special QSL card will be

10/05/2003:  Look for Steve, SV5/G0SGB/p to be active from Kos Island
(EU-001) between May 10th and 23rd. He plans to activate nine lighthouses
while on the island and to operate 15, 17, 20, 40 and 80 metres. QSL direct

11/05/2003:  Look for Jaak, ES1FB, to be QRV from Shianoukville, Cambodia
starting May 11th for about 10 days as XU7ACE. Operation will be on 40
through 6 meters, mostly SSB. He is also planning an operation from IOTA
AS-133 for May 17th and 18th, but this depends on weather conditions as it
is now the rainy season. QSL via home call, ES1FB, direct prefered (bureau
cards accepted, but takes more time). Previous XU7ACE bureau cards are

11/05/2003:  Mediterraneo DX Club members YC3DIK/5, YC3MM/5, YC3BDJ/5 and
YC3BCS/5, along with other operators, plan to be active from Pisang Island
in the Sumatra's Coastal Islands South group (OC-???) starting around 12:00
UTC May 11th until May 17th at the latest. They will operate on 80, 40, 15

15/05/2003:  Jun, VK4SJ, and Doug, VK4BP, will be active (on 10-40 metres
SSB) as ZK1AYL and ZK1SIM from Rarotonga (OC-013) between May 15th and 26th.

18/05/2003:  Thomas, DL7UZO, will be active as OZ/homecall from Bornholm
Island (EU-030, BO-001 for the Danish Islands Award, Grid JO75), May 18th to
23rd. Activity will be on the IOTA frequencies 80 through 10 meters,
including the WARC bands and 6 meters (50.100 MHz CW and WSJT on 50.250
MHz). Operations will be on CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31 using a FT-847 + Dipole.

21/05/2003:  Look for Jim, WI9WI, to be active May 21st through 27th from
Signal Hill, Curacao (SA-006, Grid FK52) as PJ2WI. He also plans to
participate in the CQ WW WPX CW Contest (May 24-25) as a single operator

21/05/2003:  Look for CT1AHU, PY8EA, PT7BI, PT2GTI, PT2HF to be active as
ZW8M from Mexiana Island (SA-042, DIB-69, Loc. GI59ex) between May 21st
(17:00 UTC) and 24th (03:00 UTC). Operation will be on 40, 20, 15 and 10
meter SSB. QSL via CS1GDX (Grupo Portugues de DX, P.O. Box 1156, 2736-996

22/05/2003:  From May 22nd to 26th, look for the Castres DX Gang members, to
be active once more from the Fort Brescou Island (French departments award:
Herault (34), French Provinces award: Languedoc-Roussillon, IOTA EU-148,
DIFM ME-001, WLHA LH-0500, French Forts and Castles award DFCF:34001, WW Loc
JN13SG). The operators include F5AUB, F5XX, F5BJW, F4CLO, F5JBR, F5UOE,
F5BLP and F6DBX. Activity is planned on HF + 6 meters bands, SSB, CW, RTTY
and PSK31. At least 4 stations with beams, wires and amps, will be on the
air as 2 using SSB, one using CW and one using PSK31/RTTY/CW. The call sign
is F5XX/p. Two members of the crew (namely Bernard F5XX and Andre, F5JBR)
will sign TM5B during the WPX Contest (May 24-25). QSL via F5XX, either

24/05/2003:  Siggi (DL1AZZ), Lutz (DL3ARK), Mario (DL5ASE) and Heiko
(DG0OGM), plan to visit the island of Dugi Otok (IOCA CI-018, IOTA EU-170)
and lighthouse Veli rat (CRO-183) between May 24th and 31st. QSL via home

24/05/2003:  Kim (HL1OYF), Park (HL1EJT), Ryu (DS4NYE) and other operators
from Buan A.R.C. will be active on all bands CW and SSB as either homecall/4
and DS0PF/4 from Wi Island (AS-148) between May 24th and 27th. QSL for all

24/05/2003:  Look for ON6VP, ON4CAQ and ON1AEO to be QRV as IG9/ON4DST from
Calla Madonna, Lampedusa Island (AF-019) between May 24th and 29th.
Operation will be on 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 meter SSB only. They will be

25/05/2003:  Giovanni (IZ2DPX), Michele (IK2GPQ), Antonello (IK2DUW) and
Lorenzo (IK5MDF) will operate as IP1TIN from Tino Island (EU-083, IIA
SP-002) May 25th, and again July 26th to 27th. They plan to be active on
10-40 metres SSB, CW, RTTY and PSK. Tino Island is located in the Region of

26/05/2003:  Andre, GM3VLB, will be on holiday with XYL Veronica and plans
to be active as much as possible from Mamanucas, Beachcomber Island (OC-121)
between May 26th (morning UTC) and May 30th (morning UTC) as 3D2LB. QSL via

29/05/2003:  Look for DA0LCC to be QRV from Timmendorf lighthouse (GLA-047
for the German Lighthouse Award, IOTA EU-098, FED-236) between May 29th and
June 1st. Operation will be on 160 meters through 70 cm SSB, RTTY and FM.

29/05/2003:  Operators DH7AX, DH1LA and DL2VFR are going to Hiddensee Island
from May 29th through June 1st. Activity will include the 1st German Island
and Lighthouse Weekend. Island reference numbers are: IOTA EU-057 and German
Island Award O-005. Two lighthouses will be activated: Dornbusch - German
Lighthouse Nr. 17, FED-026; Gellen - German Lighthouse Nr. 22, FED-088.

(The Islands of Croatia Activators Group) and the CTC (The Croatian
Telegraphy Club), are planning to be active from five Croatian Islands, in
the EU-136 group, between May 31st and June 4th. The first will be the
Island of Sveti Marko (IOCA CI-117) May 31st. May 31st to June 1st, they
will be QRV from Krk Island (CI-046) and Voscica lighthouse (CLH 188, Loc:
JN75hf); June 2nd and 3rd from Susak Island (CI-108) and Garba Lighthouse
(WLHA LH-0444, CLH-031, Loc: JN74dm); June 3rd from Losinj Island (CI-058);
June 3rd and 4th from Cres Island (CI-012, Grid JN74). Look for them on 80

31/05/2003:  Clube Radioamadores do Entroncamento will be QRV May 31st,
using the special call CS7AL, from the Castel Alcanede (DCFP reference
C-112, DMHP reference SR-012 and DMP reference 1416, Grid IM59) for the
Portuguese Castles Award. Operation will be on 40 and 20 meter SSB, CW and
digital modes. Castel Alcanede is located in the Province of Ribatejo. QSL

31/05/2003:  Pedro, HK3JJH, reports that he will possibly be QRV May 31st to
June 2nd from SA-082 (HK2 - Guajira/Magdalena division). Operation will be

31/05/2003:  Bob N5ET with xyl Linda KE5TF and Peter GM3OFT expect to be QRV
May 31st as MM/N5ET/P from Raasay Island (IOTA EU-008, IOSA NH-10, SCOTIA
CN-24, Loc. IO67xi). Start time will be approximately 09:00 UTC, for about 5
hours. Activity will be on 40, 20 and 15 meters, following propagation.

31/05/2003:  The Motor City Radio Club Station W8MRM will again be operating
on the air from a station set up on Grosse Ile (USI MI-005R, Wayne County),
Michigan, at the annual IslandFest. The festival committee will be issuing
certificates to stations making a two way contact with W8MRM. The IslandFest
will run May 31st between 14:00 and 21:00 UTC and June 1st between 15:00 and
19:00 UTC. Look for activity around 7.044, 7.244, 14.044 and 14.244 MHz. For
certificate send SASE and be sure to include contact number (IslandFest -

31/05/2003:  Mike, AD5A, and his sons Micheal, AB5EB, and Jake, KB5SKN, will
activate Isla del Maiz Pequena (NA-013, Grid EK82), Nicaragua, between May
31st and June 2nd. This is a RARE island and only about 10% of the IOTA
chasers have it. All operators are experienced IOTA operators and have
activated several island before. The family operators will use an IC-706
with an amp and a vertical antenna. The team will be active on RTTY and
possibly 6 meters. The callsign is not known yet. QSL via N6AWD (Fred K

27/06/2003:  Don, KC8UWG, just heard from Coast Guard District 9 HQ and he
has been granted permission to use White Shoal lighthouse (USA-886, Emmet
County, Loc. EN75ku), Michigan, during Field Day (June 28). Look for Don,

10/07/2003:  Look for Klaus DF3GL, Gregor DL1BFE and Uwe DL3BJ to activate
the Roter Sand lighthouse (WLHA LH-0396, DLD/GLA 44, FED-019, Loc. JO43au),
between July 10th and 14th, using the call sign DA0LRS. Activity will be on
all HF bands, SSB and CW - as long as they will have power (there is no

25/07/2003:  Tom, WA6WPG/p, will be QRV July 25th through July 27th from San
Miguel Island (IOTA NA-144, USI CA-014S) in the Channel Islands National
