<< Several months ago I sent an email out looking for
participants for a research study I am conducting at
Cameron University. I am interested in the
personality profiles of people who go on dxpeditions
to uninhabited islands, because I have always thought
that it takes a special type of person to function
well under those extreme conditions (isolation,
possible boredom, extreme weather, etc). I am now
going to share my initial findings with the reflector. >>

It appears that everything you have found seems to be accurate,
DXpeditioners are generally talented team players with a lust for life and a
sense of adventure....you would have to be, because it seems by the sound of
the pileups they have to deal with, many of the people on the other end
undoubtedly scored the absolute opposite.
Im glad you posted this surveys findings...not that anyone who actually IS a
lid will change their spots, but its nice to recognize those who put on a
major expedition and do it with a smile. I know i end up with one when they
put a new one in my log. Thanks.
