[Dxbase] internet spots issues

Just as an FYI

I feel for your problems

I have DXbase running on 3 different Win 10 computers with no issues; a
conventional desktop box, an "all in one" and a laptop

All of which have run faultlessly since the W10 updates

The all in one and laptop were running DXB under Win7 which was
upgraded. My desk top is a newer one which came with Win 10 and DXbase
was newly installed, but its predecessor was Win 7 upgraded to Win 10
and ran DXB OK

In all of these I have DXBase installed in a C:\DXBase directory not
under any Windows suggested location

I have something in the back of my mind which is suggested here

http://www.abrohamnealsoftware.com/ 64 bit compatibility

Maybe that helps?

>Hank, watching with interest. I have never been able to run DXB on WIN10. I can load it but unable to import log. Been at it for several years. :))). Plenty of guys have done it though.

>> - the DX Info screen: my old Win 7 machine in the "origins" column shows the call of the station making the spot (which is useful especially on 6 meters where propagation differences are extreme). the new Win 10 machine "origins" column only shows 1 or 2 letters - can't even tell it's a call. just "F" or "L" or "B" e.g. (and yes I have plenty of room in column to fit any length call). strange, can't figure out why doesn't show full call
>> - Internet cluster screen: a) Win 7 machine in Alert column shows "DX" next to every spot (with either "x" or check mark in QSY column)
>> Win 10 machine does not show anything in either column for many spots. why? (no difference in my user options alerts chart compared to Win 7) also it doesn't update previous qso toollbar or summary window for a spot with no "DX" notation. why are some spots not being marked "DX"???
>> b) Win 7 machine - I can click on any spot and the summary window and previous qso toolbar are both updated for that call.
>> Win 10 machine - clicking on a spot does not update anything either summary window or previous qso toolbar. this is true whether or not there is a "DX" in alert column
