Just saw that the callsign TX7T will be used from Hiva Oa, Marquesas Islands (OC-027) on 6-17 November 2019. This callsign will default to France(F) because of the Alias Map table mapping.? ? This callsign is not currently MAPPED in the CALLMAP table -- so, if you want,? simply make a dummy QSO with this callsign and change the PREFIX column? of your logbook mdb file to FO/M and then when the pop-up asks you if you want? to save this TX7T mapped to FO/M -- say YES/OK ---- Then delete that dummy QSO ..? ? My problem: I tried to import the wsjtx_log.adi with my FT8 QSO's into DXBase 2007. So I went to the WIN7 programe file under DXBase 2007 and found 2 files to open. 1. DXBase File Import 2. Non DXBase File Import Surprising for me was, that both links opened the same window. I remember that I did an import with an earlier DXBase version and got 2 different windows... The other surprise was that the window wants to force me to open a *.mdb file! I changed this to *.adi and went to the wsjtx_log.adi file and opened it. The answer I got from the Non DXBase File Import programe was: Unrecognized database format'E:\MIXW\wsjtdx_log.adi'. I copied the wsjtx_log.adi file to the DXBase2007 programe as I thought it must be maybe in the same place as import.exe is. But this did not change anything. Ok, to continue at the import failure windows, I clicked OK and WOW, I got the same windows I got in the earlier DXBase version. I put the Source Data Type to Standard ADIF, the DXBase 2007 path was already correct prefilled and I changed the Source Database File to my wsjtx_log.adi file. Now I got another new failure window which tells me: Unable to open the DXBase target database. The target database was E:\MIXW\wsjtx_log.adi and also in the same directory as import.exe. Both paths ends with same failure text. Just to make sure the import programe itself works, I tried to import a *.mdb file where the source file was generated by DXBase2007. And this worked without problems. But no *.adi file worked, I tried 4 or 5 different ones. Always the same failure windows as described bevore. I also uninstalled DXBase 2007 via Windows control panel, deleted all the rest files in the DXBase 2007 path and also the dxb2007.ini at the C:\Windows\ path. Reinstalled DXBase 2007 competely and did the same procedure as bevor. Same result... So at the moment I am unable to import any adi file to DXBase 2007. Anyone can help me? Sorry, I forgot to mention that my wsjtx_log.adi file was imported by several other log programs without mistakes. 73 Helmut HS0ZIV From dl9mfu at gmx.de Thu Aug 29 08:24:23 2019 From: dl9mfu at gmx.de (dl9mfu at gmx.de) Date: Thu, 29 Aug 2019 19:24:23 +0700 Subject: [Dxbase] Import a *.adi file Message-ID: Thanks to N4CC the problem is solved. At the first windows wanting a *.mdb file I must NOT overrite it with *.adi, I must put my HS0ZIV.mdb logfile path in. Than all works as expected. Fine, thanks Greg 73 Helmut HS0ZIV
