Subject: [Dxbase] DXBase 2003(?) File to 2007?

I am just getting active again and the backup file I have labeled as 2003.  I tried to import it (using the import tool) and open it with regular both with no success.  The import said ?Too few parameters. Expected 4.?

Any help is appreciated.

Well, I'm still running 2007 on an XP laptop.? Worried about its life, 
etc.? I am running WIN7 on other machines but understand Windows 10 may 
be the best way to go for a new machine for DXB. I'm not intuitive with 
software, etc.? Is there a version of Windows 10 I should look for?? 
Pro, Home, etc.?? And I'm wondering how complex it is to get 2007 
running on a WIN10 computer.? I do not want to change to another logging 
program.? DXB works perfectly for me.? I would like to hear some 
suggestions if you don't mind.

I need help with gleaning the WPX information from DxBase for the WPX award.
Has anyone been able to get a report showing all the prefixes 
worked/confirmed with the full data.
Output to ASCII or Excel would work.

CQ requires all the contact data, not just the Prefix!

Unless something has changed recently, Steve only needs an alphabetical 
list of the stations confirmed.? Separate lists or paper applications 
for mixed, cw,ssb,digital, 40 meters etc..but no date/time/sig report 
etc. needed.

Same thing with CAS-4A and CAS-4B.

One comment though. Two items in the adf file have to manually edited if 
you are not using Joe's Autoload program. When you go from QO100 to 
QO-100 or CAS4A to CAS-4A you are adding an extra character to SAT_NAME 
and that number also must be changed....or at least that is what I 
finally found was needed for me to upload CAS-4A and CAS-4B.


One other warning. Don't get satellite happy and start adding bird after 
bird when you go into Database Access/Satellite Names. After about the 
14th or 15(?) line, DXbase 2007 gets very unfriendly. If I remember 
right, it completely locked everything up, requiring a hard 
reboot....and guess what? All your carefully typed and sorted names go 
POOF!!! Being somewhat of a slow learner, it happened to me twice. Win 
XP box in use. YMMV with other Operating Systems.

With AE5B making the comment about CAS-4A and CAS-4B? SAT names as being 
two more SAT names that will cause problems with making an ADIF file .. I havegone back to my AutoLOTW program and have updated it so that 

CAS-3H, CAS-4A, CAS-4B, and QO-100? will all be handled correctly when you areusing my AutoLOTW program to make an adif file to send to LOTW.

I personally am not into SAT - but, like to make my programs so that they will help theSAT users of DXbase2007.
