[Dxbase] DXBase startup problem

I have the same situation from time to time with my setup.  Doesn't happen very often, but getting into task manager is the only way I have found to correct it.  Bruce. KS4V

Running Win 10 and for a few weeks now I've had this problem:

I have exited DXBase and it has been off for a few days. When I double click on the icon or even rt-click and Run as Administrator, it starts a process but doesn't come up on the desktop. If I go to Task Manager and stop the process, then re-click on the DXBase icon, it comes up on the desktop and everything works ok.

I have checked to make sure the properties are all set fully for the directory and the executable(s).

Two other Ham programs have this same behavior too, N1MM+ and HRD ver 6.x

Other apps like MS Word doesn't have this behavior, they all start up normally.

Any thots or suggestions? Sure would like to clear this up. None of them used to act like this. I suspect a Windows update, but who knows?
